A violent thug who left a woman unconscious in the middle of the road and kicked a bouncer in the head when he was kicked out of a nightclub has been jailed.

Having pulled up alongside her, jumped out and shouted at her before the attack, he then fled leaving her unconscious in the road.
Members of the public rushed to help her, and she was taken to hospital. Halliday was arrested.
Eighteen months later in February 2024, the 25-year-old launched an attack on a bouncer at the Vibe nightclub in Peterlee.
When he and his friends were asked to leave he got agitated and struck the bouncer across the head.
He fell to the floor where Halliday repeatedly kicked and punched him, including in the face.
Halliday, of Chester-le-Street was charged with both assaults and pleaded guilty to both last year.
He appeared before the Durham Crown Court on Friday (January 31) and was jailed for 15 months.
Temporary Detective Sergeant Chris Keeler, from Durham’s Complex Safeguarding Team said: “In both cases, Halliday lost his temper and seriously assaulted two innocent members of the public.
“His actions left the victims with serious injuries and life-long trauma.
“I hope his admission and the sentence imposed brings them both some relief and they are now able to move on with their lives.”
