A popular Swindon doorman has died a week after a crash in Purton.
Emergency services called to a two-vehicle road traffic collision on a bend in Pavenhill, Purton, at around 3pm on Monday 22 April.
The head-on crash involved a grey Honda Jazz and a black Volkswagen Phaeton.
The drivers of both vehicles sustained signifiant injuries and were airlifted to hospital for urgent care.
The driver of the Volkswagen, dad-of-two Alex Neeshpapa, aged in his 30s from Swindon, passed away at the weekend.
A GoFundMe has been set up by his employer Dream Lounge in a bid to help his family members “lives a little easier over the coming months”.
It reads: “Alex Neeshpapa worked for Platinum Security and was a doorman at Dream Lounge for just over a year, he has also worked at other venues in Swindon over the last five years.
“Alex was always on hand to help out friends, doing odd jobs, and seemed to be able to turn his hand to anything. He had a passion for everything connected with cars.
“In a tragic event on Monday 22 April he was involved in a serious car accident and sadly passed away six days later of his injuries.
“Alex was a gentlemen, well respected and liked around Swindon, especially in the night time economy.
“He leaves behind two children, Nia age 3 and Nico age 7 who he adored, and their Mother, Natalie, as well as family and many colleagues and friends.”
