Knife wielding Anglesey thug who attacked Door Supervisor jailed for Two Years

A thug who attacked a Door Supervisor and a police officer has been jailed for 2 years.

Kevin Humphrey Jones, from the Valley area of Anglesey, was sentenced to two years in prison at Caernarfon Crown Court last month.

It follows an incident at the Bull Hotel in Valley last year where he attacked security staff, while also in possession of a knife.

Jones then attacked a police officer while getting treatment at Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor.

A police spokesman said he was jailed for “possession of an offensive weapon, threatening a person with a bladed article, assault occasioning actually bodily harm and assaulting an emergency worker”.

They added: “This followed an incident at the Bull Hotel, Valley on 21st of November 2020 when he assaulted security staff.

“Whilst receiving medical assistance at Ysbyty Gwynedd, he later assaulted a police officer in attendance.”

PC Lee Starkie of Holyhead station, said: “Knife crime and assaults on emergency workers will not be tolerated.

“We will take robust action to target and prosecute those who carry knives in our communities, and I would encourage the public to contact crime stoppers on 0800 555 111 to anonymously report those who carry knives.”
