Kent Doorman left with ‘blood coming from his ear’ after attack outside pub

A bouncer in a Kent town was left with ‘blood coming from his ears’ after an attack. Police say they were called to an incident outside a pub in Deal in the early hours of the morning.

Five people reportedly attempted to flee from the scene. The British Transport Police (BTP) and local officers from Kent Police then set about trying to track down the individuals.

Officers say one man was arrested following reviews of local CCTV. While another was apprehended a short while later.

Officers did not reveal the exact location of the incident. Nor did they confirm the ages of those in custody.

A BTP Kent spokesman said: “Early hours of this morning our night shift responded to a fight at a pub in Deal, whereby a bouncer was assaulted and left with blood coming from his ear. We were asked to assist Kent Police. Our officers arrived on scene whereby the suspects a group of five made off.

“With bouncers managing to identify one male, he was arrested, meanwhile town CCTV helped locate another who was swiftly arrested too. Both taken to custody for assault on the door staff. Case has been handed over to Kent police to progress with.”
