Christianne Fahey, former Scotland rugby international and professional boxer, pleaded guilty to two charges of assault.
A female world champion kickboxer and Scotland rugby international attacked two male bouncers outside a city centre bar.
Christianne Fahey, who played for Scotland in the Six Nations and is also a professional boxer, threw a punch at one and tried to headbutt the other doorman.
A sheriff told Fahey she was a person who had great potential and had enjoyed a varied sporting career, but noted she had a record for violence.
Sheriff William Wood told her: “The social work report reveals you are something of a colourful character. You were at university and ten you were not at university.
“You played a variety of different sports and, on the face of it, you have the potential to achieve many things. It is about time you got a grip.
“You have been convicted of a number of violent incidents in the past – one of which you have been to prison for,” he told Perth Sheriff Court.
“Something may have happened on the night in question, and maybe the bouncers were heavy-handed, but they were doing a job.
“You need to step back instead of stepping forward. It wasn’t that serious an incident, but they shouldn’t have to put up with that in the course of their employment.
“You have now racked up a fair number of violent incidents and I need to mark this sentence as an alternative to custody. You are 34, but you still have all that potential.”
He placed Fahey, Granite Hill Terrace, Aberdeen, under social work supervision for six months and ordered her to carry out 100 hours unpaid community work.
Fahey, who competes in the super middleweight division as a professional boxer, pled guilty to two charges of assault in Perth on 2 February this year.
Fiscal depute Sarah High told the court: “The two complainers are employed as security at the Bank Bar. At 10.35pm they approached the accused to ask her to leave.
