Interview advice

Postby wazman » 14 Jan 2012, 11:31

Hi everyone,
I've got a stage 1 interview as a secure driver and was wondering if anyone could give any advice how to prepare and what type questions to expect during it.
Many thanks

Take off the stocking mask, hide the sawn off til you are appointed?
It takes more than good intentions and a big bloke on the door.

Cheers, I already thought that would be a good idea!!lol
I was wondering the type of things that everyone who's done the interview before got asked, so can prepare for it.
Its always a nightmare if you get asked something and you can't think of anything to say.

I've never had one of these interviews but i have heard that the first stage is usually all about you, your family, your life.. more of a personal interview for them to get to know you and see what you're like.

I don't know who yours is with but G4S visit your home and do the interview there, the first one anyway.

Before they dig into your finances and background

Had it the other day. Was pretty much as you said with checking what type of person you are and what characteristics you hav e to fit in with the company standards etc. Was held at the depot so they might have changed that part (probably to save on time and fuel).
Didn't seem too intrusive but app form pretty much had to give details about your whole life so the screening part is probably a bigger hurdle if there's any problems with the app.
