A Graham man is charged with stabbing a bouncer in the neck at a lounge in southern Alamance County on Friday.

Deputies responded to a reported stabbing at Mark’s Place, at 5049 Snow Camp Road, at about 8:45 p.m. Friday and found Ronnie L. Bunting, 47, suffering from a knife wound to his neck, according to a release from the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office.

Bunting was working as “a security person” at Mark’s Place when he attempted to intervene in an argument and was stabbed, the release said.

Bunting was flown to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill after receiving initial treatment at the scene.

Several people had been involved in a series of disputes at the lounge and some of the arguments were related to domestic disputes. Some witnesses were advised “to obtain warrants, if desired, for simple assault,” though no other serious injuries were reported, the release said.

Justin Shane Madren, 25, of Rogers Road, Graham, is accused of wounding Bunting. The sheriff’s office obtained warrants for Madren’s arrest, charging him with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious bodily injury.

Madren turned himself in Monday morning and was being held in Alamance County Jail under a $100,000 bond, the release said.

So a DS is stabbed in the States and Uncle Sam goes for an attempt to kill charge, whilst over here he'd probably be charged with affray or some such stupidity. Anyone else think we have a serious issue here?
We are the willing, led by the unknowing, doing the impossible, for the ungrateful, we have now done so much, for so long - for so many, with so little, we can now do anything with nothing!!!
