Every centre differs but i have done four in the past, including 2 large centres

Whats a typical day
Opening up and taking deliveries + letting in staff and paper work
Patrolling all day
dealing mainly with health and safety
Customer enquiries
Linking in with other stores, assisting in arrests
moving on groups of kids, drunks and dealing with any incidents

Whats the good and bad aspects of the job

Good :
Larger space than your average reatil outlet
greater freedom to move around
less pressure in regards loss prevention
greater interaction with customers
more backup

Bad :
Can drag if the shopping center is small or located in a good area
It can be more of a caretaker position in some centres
dealing with youths nearly all the time

Would you recommend it

Depends where and under what conditions but it certainly is more interesting than most retail and static positions.
