In the highly unlikely scenario (admittedly portrayed by me...) that you're feeling threatend by a potentially spurious police officer after being pulled over whilst following a vehicle whilst on a CP job in the UK, I don't think I'd be that worried to be honest. I'd either pull over normally or stick hazards on and drive to a well populated area. I dont think I'd consider the middle ground of pulling over with the doors locked and having a mimed chat.

I was replying to Andys point that anyone can do it - not talking about the CP scenario.

In answer to the original question, "What happens when?" The simple answer is you get your P45 and then get down the job centre!

Planning does not mean a thing when the budget says no.

Three cars is EXCEPTIONALLY uncommon in the UK outside of a Gov sponsored role.

Valid point spoomo, although the SIA course works on the basis of more the merrier, in reality 3 cars aint happening.

Bigger issue though is that type of book responce shows some still think like The Modern Bodyguard or The Bodyguards Bible told them or was taught to them.

Hence my general opinion most training delivered is useless. If training was any good it would not have been the fourth post in this thread that said "Stop for the Police".

The modern bodyguard is great :-) it brings back all my memories from my original training, what seems like a lifetime ago haha.

Your right though and the SIA recommend these books as precourse reading.

The best form of approach is to call 999 and speak to the Police control room, they then clarify whether the car is genuine and whether Officers are present or not. If it is a fake, then they will persuit it. If you believe that stopping for a "Police Car" could pose a risk or threat to the job at hand, then your priority should be with the customer, not the blues and twos. They will understand.

you may be out of practice calling a police control room as you unlikely your unlikely to have your call answered until long after the police pursuing you have completely lost patience with you refusing to stop and have deployed a stinger.. lol

The boss of the Depot was tugged by the "old bill" and put in the back of the car. Before you know it, history was made and the country was £53m lighter!

There is a law somewhere, that especially females, are allowed to drive to a well lit place (Petrol station etc) if they feel they are not a genuine policeman or feel threatened?
