Musician and actor Goldie has been ordered to stand trial alongside his teenage daughter accused of attacking a security guard during a brawl at this year’s Glastonbury Festival.
The former James Bond villain, who was also awarded an MBE last year, is alleged to have been involved in a struggle with the victim who had refused his daughter entry to the restricted area behind the famous Pyramid Stage.
After a confrontation with the guard the DJ, who performed a set at the five day event, allegedly assaulted the guard by pushing him and scratching him in the face.
His daughter, Chance, is also accused of getting involved and delivering a kick to the victim as he lay on the ground.
Goldie, 52, who is known by his real name as Clifford Joseph Price, and his daughter Chance Marie Price, 19, who both gave addresses in Hertfordshire, were represented by solicitor Ernest Aduwa when the case was heard by District Judge David Taylor, sitting at Yeovil Magistrates Court.
They both entered not guilty pleas to a charge that they assaulted Dennis Poole by beating him at the Worthy Farm site on June 23.
District Judge Taylor adjourned the case for a trial date and location to be fixed at the next possible convenience and both defendants were told they remained on summons.
